Our Story

When they were still babies, God had a perfect and magical plan for them, and what was to come, no one imagined, much less they. They lived in the same family without being family. They had married uncles, a couple who at that time had no children, who cared for Iliana as their daughter. The aunt's name was Luzema, sister of Iliana's mother, and Uncle Roberto, brother of Joel's mother. They lived together on some occasions at family events, but it was not yet time to reunite; as time passed, each had their separate lives, experiencing joys as well as many disappointments. As time went on, they matured in wisdom and grew in love for God, who continued to prepare them for their unexpected reunion. In the year 2007, the moment came when their eyes would meet, and they never imagined it was the beginning of this magical love story! That day began unexpectedly at a family party in Pesquería, N.L., where they were brought together. Their relationship continued for several years at a distance until, after 4 years of dating, they decided to take the big step of getting married civilly and moving in together to Houston, TX. And after 18 years together. Now many years later, God allows them to receive His blessing at the long-awaited and desired moment of reconciliation with the Lord, and with that love, they decide to say 'I do' and continue to maintain their commitment of love, hand in hand with God and united with their family, who are the most important to them, which is made up of Ricky, the eldest son, the detail-oriented and incredible organizer; their only daughter, Yukari, with a big heart and noble feelings; Joel Abner, the youngest son, full of wise counsel; and lastly, to this day, the cherry on the cake, their grandson named Kai John, who came to add more rhythm to their melody of love, a clever and restless boy. And to this day, with God as their guide, their love is stronger than ever to continue on this great adventure where the best is yet to come. (To be continued…)
